With our Western Regional event in Los Angeles approaching, it was great to read the OC Register's profile of an inspiring veteran at Cal State Fullerton. Returning to school after transitioning, he was confused and lonely, nothing unusual, but he did something exceptional about it, finding other student veterans and forming a local Student Veterans Association. He is now employed by the university as their Veteran Student Services Coordinator. Proof of what can come from helping others, and also proof that these kinds of organizations are about more than schoolwork - bonds of loyalty and service return and make a tremendous difference in the lives of student veterans. Hope it inspires you - have a great week!
