NC Veterans Return to Helping Hands

The American Legion has teamed up with North Carolina-based Kerr Drugs for the "Help Wounded Tar Heel Troops" program.  Donations will be accepted at Kerr stores - one of which I visited all the time - to provide financial assistance to veterans from the state and their families.  The link estimates that over 12,000 wounded veterans live in the state.  The overall military population is the nation's fourth-largest - we will be in Raleigh in November for the first time and are thrilled to meet as many of you as we can!  Best of luck, best thoughts to everyone battling the storms nationwide, and have a safe week.
