Take a look at what's being said here about veterans coming back to work and struggling. If you took this as all there is to it, you'd have a rough time getting excited about looking for a career you deserve, let alone any job. Realize instead how much more there is to it. The piece in the link is based on a study, so yes, facts are involved, but one of the things we all learn is that to do any kind of "study", you have to apply serious focus to your topic. This focus means other areas get pushed aside for the sake of your argument, or don't seem to apply. So when the survey in the link says "Employers aren't military-friendly and don't know anything about military job seekers", well, we have corporations and government agencies at every one of our events nationwide that disprove that point year-round. When the survey recommends that "the government should do more", again, we have government agencies from federal to local at almost every one of our events, and have felt from Day One that if you want something great, you have to work to make it happen yourself. That's what we're here to help you do, and I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't point you toward positive information! Help is available and people from all walks of life and work do believe in you. Never forget that and have a great week!
