Real Film Production Careers For Veterans

No matter who's on strike in Hollywood, it's a crazy place to work.  Like any other workplace, though, certain skills are going to get you hired - and can get you into business for yourself anywhere without needing anyone's say-so.  Check out this program in San Diego teaching combat wounded Marines how to work a camera, operate microphones, handle electrical equipment on set and much, much more.  If you think you need to be in Hollywood to do anything with these careers, one of the Marines in the program hopes to open a production studio in Virginia with his training.  As one of the founders of the program says, he was approached to film a documentary about some of these Marines, but instead wanted them to be able to tell their own stories.  Great thinking, excellent follow-through.
